About Lee County Criminal History

Lee County criminal-record information is divided among the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Lee Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Department of Corrections, and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search. This private guide organizes those distinct Fort Myers and statewide routes so readers can identify the office, portal, or request channel that holds the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Florida provides multiple public access channels, but no single office holds the entire picture. LCSO maintains booking and sheriff-created records; the Lee Clerk preserves criminal case dockets, filed charges, and dispositions; and FDLE operates the statewide criminal-history repository. The Florida Department of Corrections and the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Search cover separate record systems. This site brings their request steps, fees, search portals, and contact details into one Lee County-focused reference.

What You Will Find Here

  • Agency contacts: where to reach LCSO Central Records, the Lee Clerk, and Florida’s statewide record systems
  • Record guides: how to locate and interpret criminal court case records filed in Lee County
  • Record cleanup help: how Florida sealing and expunction procedures connect FDLE certification with a petition in the Lee County court
  • Official check walkthroughs: how FDLE name-based searches and fingerprint-based criminal-history checks differ

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, unaffiliated with any Florida court, sheriff, police department, clerk, or state agency. Those boundaries mean:

  • We cannot issue certified court documents, rap sheets, or other official records
  • We cannot provide legal advice about a charge, case, sealing, or expunction
  • We cannot submit a records request, court petition, or other paperwork for a visitor
  • We cannot conduct an official background check or retrieve someone’s criminal history
  • We cannot promise that an agency’s address, fee, phone number, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as LCSO, the Lee Clerk, or FDLE. This site can explain the route, but it cannot issue the document.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free site, but we neither set the charge nor control the information returned.
